We’ve got our rose-colored glasses on. Yep, it’s officially Spring which means everything is looking up! We’ve made the most of our cheery state by compiling this list of activities for little ones this Spring. Let’s dive right in.
1.Rock painting
Yes, you can paint hard boiled eggs for Easter but we very much like the idea of painting rocks instead. Why? You can sprinkle them in your garden and enjoy them all Spring. The kids will love it. Just grab some acrylic paints and you’re good to go!

2.Backyard camping
This is one bedtime that kids can’t wait for. Backyard camping seems to excite kids to no end, and that’s great because it’s easy to organize! If you don’t already have a tent, you can get one cheaply online. Especially if you’re only using it for the backyard. Sleeping bags are always fun but you don’t need them. As long as you have something soft for kids to sleep on (like a foam mat), along with a pillow and blanket, then you’re all set to enjoy a night under the stars.
3.Outdoor games
Speaking of the backyard, there’s so many games that’ll keep your little one entertained this Spring. You can DIY a lot of them as well. Bowling can be played with tin cans. Hopscotch and tic-tac-toe can be created with chalk or objects you probably have around the house. For instance, tic-tac-toe could be played with the painted rocks we mentioned earlier. 4.Bike riding

This is a such a great Spring activity for kids. They’re learning, exercising and most certainly having fun.
We’re in a bit of awe with balance bikes, mainly because they didn’t exist when we were kids (we swear we’re not that old) and toddlers can start using them at 18 months. Mind blowing.
It gets better as well. Toddlers who learn to ride on one can skip training wheels altogether once they switch to a pedal bike.
If you’d like some help picking a kids’ bike, we found that Rascal Rides have oodles of good advice.
5.Picnic in the park
This one’s a classic. It combines two of our favorite things – eating and chill time. We appreciate it’s not always chill, like when screaming and crying is involved, but it’s a nice way to think going into it. Kite flying and bubble blowing can be great forms of entertainment pre and post snacking.
That wraps up our top five kids’ activities for Spring. If you’d like to share a winning activity you can pop it in the comments below. We’d love to hear it!
